Sabak Hill

Sabak hill is a beautiful place for refreshing. Sabak hill be in Sukalarang, Sukabumi-West Java. Sabak is a larch wood, many people play to there because that place is very beautiful. This place isn’t manage for touring by local government. Name of Sabak hill is brought from Sundanese language. In sundanese language meaning sabak is tool for writing as book. But, sabak is made by people of glass. This place is said Sabak because there are  stone as “Sabak” and “Grip” . Peoples in there know grip for writing as pen or quill. Size of Sabak stone is + 0,6 metres and Grip stone is  +  0,3 metres. That stones as tombstone but there aren’t cemetery  in there.

There are facilities in Sabak hill is field and larch wood. Field in Sabak Hill is ex Indonesian Police’s heliport. Indonesian Police practiced  in there of old. The peoples in there said Sabak hill will make training place by Indonesian Police. But, That Police’s Program is not hear until this time. Indonesian Police have looked practice in there since 2003.

Now, Sabak hill be recreation place by people in around Sabak hill. They usually hiking to there in Sunday. Many people recreation in there because it isn’t must pay. It is free from pay, but we can looking beautiful scenery or playing foot ball. There are also camping in there if holiday.

We can look gede mount from there if fine weather. In beautiful scenery is Sukalarang subdistric – Sukabumi Regency  untill Gekbrong Subdistric – Cianjur Regency.

Society of around Sabak hill believed to magic of Sabak Stone. They believed if Children write in a sabak stone so they will can write very well. Many children in there came to Sabak hill just for writing in sabak stone by a stone. But, peoples around sabak hill aren’t believing now.

Sabak hill be favorite recreation place by student of elementary school around sabak hill. May be since 1990 so many school plan for going there if they have leeway. We need times 3 hours if we trip from highway until Sabak hill.
